Time out, Andrew Niccol, 2011

Summary:

The movie takes place in a future, where the time replaced the money. Genetically modified, the people do not age any more after 25 years. But from this age, it is necessary to spare time to stay alive. Whereas the rich drag themselves of palace in casinos to spend the centuries which they have, the workers never have than a dozen hours in front of them. In the prolo part of the city, they work as slaves to earn the invaluable minutes which will make them survive a new day of labour. A man, who comes from the poor class, accused wrongly by murder, flees with a hostage from the upper class, who will become her ally.

Critique:

Time Out is a rather effective criticism of our current society which privileges the rich to the poor men.

The author frontal attacks in the question of the class struggle and the ultraliberalism in free wheel, imagining a world disordered in which the time replaced the money as the universal value.
