The Social Classes
French social classes by today
Today in France, the social classes have change more than in England. This bigger changes can be explain by the French Revolution in 1789.
But the system of High Class, Middle Class and Labour Class still survive as in anywhere in the world, there is always people richer than others.
The difference is that in France, the middle class had grown a lot after the second world war and reduced by this growing the inequality between the social groups.
In the High Class, we can find the leading politicians, the senior civil servants, the business leaders and some wealthy family who keep a title.
In the Labour Class, we find only the blue-collar households ; peoples who works in the factories.
But, the lower class is declined because now the factory change in France and they transfer to service sector means they change to be on the Middle Class.
The Middle Class is composed of all the others workers.
Today, the most important things in France to determine the social class status of someone is the power, the success and the money. No matter your birth and your family as in England, the most important is what you achieve and your revenue to be on the high social class.
